Fission

Fission an annual technical festival organised by the IEEE student body of PVPP, is a wonderful way to tickle that technical brain of yours, with various workshops and seminars you can get the basic information of any technical subject that we offer through experienced professionals.
Along with workshops we also offer you Robotics (wired and wireless) robo competitions and for all those interested in gaming can compete with the top gamers under one roof.
Ok now lets cut to the chase people, I am a TE student from PVPP been with Fission for the past 2 years and enjoyed every moment of it. Let it be the travelling with friends for Publicity to various colleges, or the nights we spent researching on topics for technical paper presentations or the trips to lamington road for black pearl (our wired robo) or even the shocks we recieved while we made it. After the strain of attending lectures, doing assignments, writting journals something that releaves you is working for the festival, as you get the satisfaction of working for something and the perks along with that which include certificates then theres also that socialising with your seniors and ofcourse the official reason with which you can bunk lectures without feeling guily for it.
Now for the FEs and SEs of my college, Fission being a technical fest you might not be interested as you might think it might be a drag but au contraire my friends its anyday better that working for a cultural fest one thing as it doesnt involve the college management(the so called sane people) having their own whimsical ideas on how a fest should be the students just like you and me organise this fest, so fresh ideas keep pouring with a new line of management altogether, that doesnt mean one will be cut slack but its just that you will be able to work with the future leaders who are rather flexible and inviting towards your interests and ideas.
Now talking about Fission '07 what makes it different is that it wont be big it wont be the best cant make big promises to you as I was in your place just a year back, but one thing we do promise is creativity from each and everyone of us , smartwork and fun. volunteeres will learn how to work with and under people(no pun intended) and how to think from various angles for 1 task, they will experience stuff that have never experienced especially when they go for sposorship, it might not be your best but no experience is ever a waste, the interactions that you shall have, the new people you shall meet, the new friends that you'll make and ofcourse last but not the least work with us your senior, peers, mentors, trendsetters blah blah blah.....

Ok now I need my juniors to visit this blog and post in comments and I want to see you all working your ass out for this festival
Peace out
